I'm having problems with colour rendition in it in comparison with others at the moment and haven't really tied that down.

An interesting one with a number of filters. For anybody who want a look there is at least one video demo on youtube. I find the interface a little cluttered but am slowly getting used to it.

Darktable is neat because it indicates how much various curves can be changed which can be useful. If you are going to run Linux may as well have several about. Not sure if it has lensfun yet but when it does it will have lens specific correction files. I find Darktable OK and it's getting better. More.Hi I have just joined and use several including Darktable. All I can say is, he definitely knows his craft well and I look forward to seeing more of his work. Overall, our photos were incredible and he documented our day so perfectly that his work is worth every cent. If you're a parent, you'll understand how priceless that is. I have a four year old son that just woke up from a nap and wasn't in the mood, but Jay has a way with kids and he got my son to give him a (genuine) smile and his photos turned out to be so wonderful. Again, everyone was comfortable with him some people find picture taking awkward but his energy rubs off on his subjects. On our wedding day, my bridal party was impressed by how he handled everyone.he was able to catch the most candid events but delivered and captured it in a such a beautiful way. I don't think anyone can get any more flexible than that.

I was afraid he wouldn't be able to make it, but Jay shuffled things around and made things happen. Our wedding date was originally set on a weekend, but due to some circumstances, we had to move it in the middle of the week. But he knew exactly what he was doing and I was just blown away with his work with the very little time we had. We did that shoot in less than hour, it was unbelievable. We felt so bad but the minute we met Jay, he made us feel so comfortable, he did not by any means rush us as he tried to catch the sunset that went by(so quickly). My husband and I first met Jay right at our Engagement shoot we were running incredibly late(dropped off our kid with a friend and fought with LA traffic). I basically felt like I didn't have to worry about anything because he has everything down. I shopped for a couple photographers but Jay was quick to respond and knows his craft very well that a bride would be so happy to hear his plan and vision for your day. Thanks so much!! More.įrom day one, Jay was incredibly easy to work with. There is no doubt in my mind that we will remember our wedding so vividly because Jay and his wife Shine helped in capturing exactly what we felt that day. Not to mention the compliments we received from friends and family to this day. the smiles and laughs were real, the tears weren't queued, and the joy we experienced were honest and authentic. And overall, the expressions, the emotions, and moments he caught were true and genuine. He accommodated our few requests and served us in a way that made us feel that we were getting what WE wanted, and not just what he wanted for us. That's when we knew he would be the right choice to shoot our special day.įrom choosing the photo packages to the engagement shoot and to the wedding day, Jay couldn't have been a better decision for us. His style, his perspective, his ability to capture the emotions and moments you hope to keep forever are the kinds of pictures he and his team strive for. We were absolutely impressed with it all. When we first met Jay, he showed us his portfolio of physical prints, online portfolio, and even a few events he was currently editing on his laptop. And over the course of the year we were so happy that Jay continued to exceed our expectations, accommodating our needs by following up with us from time to time making sure we were taken care of. When we met Jay we immediately had that connection. Especially when planning one of the most important days in our lives, it was so important to establish the right relationships with all our vendors, and Jay was no exception. He made us feel so at ease when we met for the first time that it felt like we have been friends for a long time. Now I'm the kind of guy who emailed and interviewed 50+ photographers before narrowing down our top choices that would fit our style and budget, so when we finally sat down with Jay it was a no-brainer. Where do I begin From the moment we met Jay we knew we were in for something special.
